1.1 F.A.Q. |
1.1.1.1 What is Bitcoin? |
Bitcoin is a open source, peer-to-peer payment system introduced in 2009. |
It is a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used |
to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer |
of funds, operating independently of a central bank. |

1.1.1.2 What is altcoin? |
Altcoins are generally referenced as other crypto coins then Bitcoin (BTC). |
1.1.2.1 What is mining pool? |
Mining pool is place where miners join mining operation together to mine crypto coins. |
1.1.2.2 What is the PROP payout system?? |
Each miner submits "shares" of work and when the pool finds a block, the divide the block reward based |
on the proportion of the shares - if you did 50% of the work you get 50% of the reward, |
if you did 3% of the work you get 3% of the reward.. |
1.1.2.3 What is the mining pool fees? |
Mining pool fee is 0%. Plus fee for payout transaction. |
1.1.2.4 Why do I have no balance? |
When mining, you don't earn coins until you've participated in a round that finds a valid block. Until you have |
helped to mine a round that solves a valid block. If you just joined, even a few hours ago there is a |
good chance there has not been a block found yet that you were a part of when mining. Once a valid block is found payout |
will happen within ca. 2 hours. |
Casually if pool is receiving more then 50% of global hashrate, there is much bigger chance of generating higher rate of |
orphaned blocks and it can give problems with payouts. High rate of orphaned blocks can also be caused by big |
rigs keep switching on and off and between pools. |
1.1.2.5 Why does Statistics page says I have 0 shares? |
Make sure your mining software are sending valid shares. Statistics page updates up to twice every minute. |
Search for your wallet to see detailed statistics, if you are sending invalid shares you will see it there. |
1.1.2.6 Can I enhance my mining performance? |
Yes! Keep your GPU drivers up to date, specially with high end graphic cards. |
Mining software updates casually too, keep in touch I'll post links to updated software. |
Use mining pool near you. Use ping to determinate distance to mining pool. |
1.1.2.7 How is the detailed statistics computed? |
Statistics are draw from the json format output you can download. |
1.1.2.8 What is best to mine? |
It mostly depends on the current value of the coin. |
Good source for that stats is: https://whattomine.com/ |
1.1.2.9 What is POW? |
POW mining is "Proof Of Work" <-- mining where such hardware as CPU, GPU and ASIC are needed to generate new blocks (coins). |
1.1.2.10 What is POS? |
POS mining is "Proof Of Stake" <-- mining where coins and online wallet are used to generate new blocks (coins). |
1.1.3 What is browser mining? |
Browser mining works similarly to normal pool mining where several miners join work together. |
The miner is normally running in background. There is User interface in settings-page. To see it you have to Enable Browser Mining in settings page. |
Currently Browser Mining is running in development mode and we have to vote for payoutcoin 1st. |
1.1.4 What is a faucet? |
A faucet is a site where you can earn free bitcoins in exchange for advertising |
exposure or for completing small tasks. Faucets are a way for newcomers to get |
the feeling of earning, moving and spending bitcoins for free, even if in small |
amounts, so that they can try the system and, hopefully, get more involved with it. |
Remember 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 Bitcoin. |
